We really love this planet - it’s the only one we’ve got, so we are 100% committed to not messing it up for our children. It is estimated that 87% of plastic packaging will end up in landfill and this will sit there for over 100 years for our children’s children to deal with. We want to make decisions now that will reduce the impact on their planet.
But let’s be real - we are a consumer-packaged goods company. Our customers want the products they get to be clean, and the ingredients to be active and get results.
Our sustainability mission is to develop smart, creative solutions that span across packaging, carbon footprint, ethical sourcing, and non-toxic ingredients.
For our customers this means they know the products have been consciously formulated while still delivering the best, most effective, most luxurious skincare out there.
Packaging

RAAIE collects your used bottles so that they can be cleaned and used again. We knew that to become truly circular, we needed to make returning our bottles as easy as possible. That’s why we became the first beauty brand in the world to offer free home collections. And to thank you for helping us meet our sustainability goals, we will give you 20% off your next order when you return your bottles.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Simply email collections@raaie.co.nz when you have 3 or more bottles, drop them in your letterbox, and we will arrange for them to be collected for free. Once they are collected, we will email your 20% off code for your next order.

WHY WE DON'T OFFER REFILL POUCHES
Refilling in the lab guarantees the efficacy of our products. RAAIE's skincare ingredients are very active so they are highly sensitive to light and oxygen. Refilling in controlled conditions ensures the integrity of the ingredients so you know your serums remain potent until they meet your skin.
Ingredients
Aotearoa New Zealand is internationally recognized for its unique ecosystems, flora, and fauna. With such delicate ecosystems, it is essential to prioritize protection and focus on regeneration efforts.
We strive to support ingredient suppliers who share this commitment. For example, in marine algae harvesting, we collaborate with suppliers who adhere to traditional, sustainable practices, ensuring that ingredients are harvested responsibly and with respect for the environment. By taking this approach, we can provide high-quality natural ingredients while honoring the land and water where they originate.
We also contribute to Trees That Count, a New Zealand charity dedicated to replanting native plants. It is our responsibility to care for the environment and ensure the sustainability of our natural resources for future generations.
CARBON
Producing any consumer product creates carbon. Greenhouse gas emissions released through human activity are responsible for climate change, causing an unprecedented rise in temperature across our planet that affects nature, wildlife and every single one of us. We all have to make changes to lower our carbon (CO2) emissions. Reducing carbon and taking climate change action has never been more important.
